...

Distressed clothing has been one hell of a trend this year.
I know it's been a hit for some of y'all since forever *coughs, looks away*

The most popular distressed clothing being the rock band tee's and denim, of course! You can find them on almost every high street and online store.

I recently made my own distressed t-shirt and decided to make a mini tutorial as its the easiest thing ever (save some coins & look bomb.com,why not?!) It took me maximum 30 minutes from start to finish and all items can definitely be found at home.

YOU WILL NEED:
T-SHIRT
FABRIC SCISSORS (I used any)
HOUSEHOLD BLEACH
SPRAY BOTTLE
DISPOSABLE GLOVES
BIN LINER

STEP ONE
Take your shirt and insert cuts using your scissors. Want to add some tears? you can do so by folding the fabric, cutting it on the fold and then tearing the hole with your hands. This will create a natural looking tear. Remember there's no rule to this, so get as wild as you want!

STEP TWO
Lay a bin bag over the surface you're about to work on and place your t shirt on top. Pour the bleach into a spray bottle and begin to spray over different areas of the top. To create big splats I poured the bleach into my hand and flicked it at the t shirt (dw, I had about 3 gloves on) A safer way would be to get a sauce bottle or create one by poking a hole through a empty juice bottle lid. You will see the bleach starting to work straight away, the longer you leave it the lighter the splashes will go. I left mines for 10 mins then added more bleach to create different shades. Once you have your desired colour move on to the next step

STEP THREE
Hand wash your t-shirt in cold water. You'll see the water change colour, continue until clear. This stage is very important!

STEP FOUR
Put your t-shirt in the washing machine or hand wash. I hand washed mines because I wanted to wear it out that day. Place in the dryer and remove when completely dry.

STEP FIVE
Iron, admire and style your new & improved t-shirt.
