THIRD TRIMESTER

PSA: Baby is here how-ev-er I’m still going to upload these blogposts I had sitting around in my drafts

Chapter 3.
I'll be honest, this trimester has been very overwhelming. I’ve been dealing with some great changes and although everything is well it’s getting too much. Did that make sense lol ?! tries to make sense of it Basically the things I had prayed for are coming thruuu and it’s like wow God thanks *pew, next blessing* ok God, amazing *pew pew* wow God I don’t know how ima deal with this but yass *pew pew pew* whew chile the blessings.

But listen all I can do is thank God, He is in control and ive got this

Ive decided to NOT have a baby shower. I love events, I live for events but
I dunnoo. I’m good.
I think.
It's that overwhelming feeling ive been experiencing, I don’t want to add to that. I’ve also decided I do not want a surprise shower. Let’s put it this way, if it’s not exactly how I want it.. I dont want it. Writing that down makes me sound like a bitch LOL. When I made my plans I wanted to go all out, flowers here, pink there, a bit of gold there, catering over there, cocktails galore THE FULL MONTY BABE but let me just chill on this one. I’ll celebrate when she’s here *Joanne the scammer smirk*

I have created a wish list on thingstogetme.com and sent it to everyone who would have been invited. I hope they remember to buy stuff🙂, I mean usually you buy stuff last minute on your way to your friends baby shower but now there isn’t one...Who and what will remind them?

Don’t worry though if no one gets me anything, we’ve got this! Ive started to buy things already. Luckily I know what I need and I know the things I won’t actually use from when I had my son. I’m such a hoarder, the less I buy the better. I’m planning on replacing her clothes every season. As in buying 0-3 month clothes and accessories first then giving it to charity once she outgrows it then buying 3-6 months etc. I need as much space as possible with 2 children so im hoping this technique will make a big difference.

Welp. My clothes don’t fit me.
Literally nothing in my wardrobe fits. Not a thing. I’m wearing like 3 outfits (barely) on rotation at this point. These outfits usually consist of leggings, and yeezys. I’ve gone from a size 8/10 to 14 babes, this is different for me. I haven’t bought any new clothes because my new size sells out fast and tbh I don’t like anything out there right now.

My body is definitely feeling the pressure this trimester. I can barely stand up and laying down is uncomfortable. If you feel the same way I would recommend a pregnancy pillow. CLICK ME I sleep/rest with mines on the side of my belly and in between my legs and it’s pure bliss. Its also great because baby can use it once she's here. Another ‘thing’ I tried was a pregnancy massage at Nobu hotel. Whew chile, I had a package and I was so worried they wouldn’t let me do the massage part due to me being pregnant. Sis, they had a whole massage ready for me. I wish I knew my masseuse name, she was incredible! She asks how your pregnancy has been and where your problem areas are and gets to werk. You know it’s a good massage when you fall asleep! I left there feeling  goodt.

As the beginning is near I look forward to seeing what my baby looks like. I can’t wait to see her little personality. I cant wait to read her all the books ive bought her. I can’t wait to dress her in cool little fits like meee. I can’t wait to buy her natural hair products. I can’t wait to teach her to love herself. I can’t wait to teach her how to win!

I look forward to meeting her, it feels like forever now. Plus I’m starting to get the “are you having twins” question *insert the Viola Davis meme*

FIRST TRIMESTER

I'm pregnannnttttttt
again

I had no idea. There were no symptoms to begin with so I was literally doing the most *sips cocktail*
Although my waist widened very early on in my pregnancy I still didn't think I was. Especially as I was trying to gain weight (get thick or die trying) I thought it was exactly that.
But no,
God had better plans.

The moment I peed on that stick, morning sickness kicked innnnnn!
I honestly don't understand why it's called 'morning sickness because it comes at any point in the day.
EVERY SINGLE DAY.
Just like my first pregnancy I tried every remedy. The ginger biscuits, peppermint tea, lemon water, crackers, lemonade, prayer... you name it. I eventually was admitted into hospital and was prescribed anti sickness tablets which stopped the vomiting. Praise God. I still feel sick but life is manageable now.

I have no cravings at the moment and barely ever know what I feel for.
Which is annoying because my body tells me I'm hungry but I take so long to decide I start feeling sick.

After being depressed for so damn long I'm feeling positive about what's to come. This little blessing is already helping me make changes for the better and start the things I thought were impossible. So yassss, I'm about to take this journey easy. I plan to create loads of memories during this time and take a lot of pics too (because where are the pics of my first pregnancy pls??)

This post was rushed however there will be more mummy blog posts to come
so stay tuned & stay blessedt

YOU ARE ENOUGH

The best month of the year has started, the greatest season of the year has begun...

Welcome to AUGUST aka LEO SEASON (Virgos who??)

haha, but yasszz i'm just stopping by for a quick outfit post. *waves*

I also wanted to remind you that you are PERFECT!
There is no need to do extraaa things to please
others because you are brilliant at just being you.
If you've got to make changes to be accepted by something or someone then just leave it alone.
Don't lose yourself

do it for
you and
not for
them.

Independent woman

As we go through life we are expected to become more independent. We reach a time where we have to start making our own meals, pay bills (lol that rhymed) and ultimately become self-reliant. But lets be honest, not everyone has the ability to be independent or rather the mindset to take the step into independence. Below I have listed a few reasons why you should try to become more of an independent women.

Independence promotes happiness. Emotional independence improves your relations with the people around you. It helps you to interact with them better as you become more in control of your emotions. It will ultimately bring out the best in you leading to a happier YOU

Need a confidence boost? The fact that you're more likely to take matters into your own hands without having to wait for others means you will be more likely to try out new things. You will eventually start taking bigger risks leading to bigger rewards. Go youuuu!

It decreases the the load of others. If you're capable of meeting your own needs, the pressure you put on others will lessen. Friends, family and colleagues will eventually begin to notice and possibly trust you enough to seek your assistance *taps head like the roll safe meme*

The rewards are better! Yes, you heard it here first. If your goal is to become independent in some way then you will get a sense of accomplishment when you do so. Financial independence is a goal for many of us, right? Whats better than not having to answer to anybody, being debt free and in control. Emotional independence can also bring you less disappointment. I'll take one of those, thanks.

Remember ladies, learning how to support yourself is necessary for any success you ever hope to achieve. Hopefully we can all become so comfortable in ourselves that we take the right steps to take charge of our lives and do whats best for us.

TWENTY TWO; THE YEAR OF SELF LOVE

self-love
noun

  1. regard for one's own well-being and happiness.

  2. Self-care is all the little ways we take care of ourselves to avoid a breakdown in different areas of health such as physical, spiritual and mental. Practicing self care will help you feel more connected to yourself and the world around you.
  1. It is important, you are important.

1. Interrupt the denigrating, negative self talk.
2. Don’t beat yourself up when you get something wrong.
3. Give yourself credit for the ways you’ve changed and grown.
4. Say something good about yourself everyday.
5. Refuse to fixate on the things that could go wrong.
6. Believe that you are worthy of unconditional love.

Here are a few things you can do to reinforce self care & love into your everyday life.

Be selfish. Do one thing today just because it makes you happy.

Make decisions differently. If you normally go with your heart, go with your head or vice versa.

Soak in the atmosphere. Sit somewhere green, and be quiet for a few minutes.

Help others. Hold the door, pay for a strangers bill at the coffee shop, carry shopping bags for someone.

Say no to negativity. It may just be social media but constantly seeing negative posts / complaining can suck the life out of you. Most of the time you're not in control of what pops up on your feed however when you can delete, mute or block negative followers.

Try a new route to work. Create new neural pathways in the brain to keep it healthy by switching up your routine.

Date night. Have a date night with yourself! I know what you're thinking "I'm always with myself" This time, spend an hour or so doing something you love. Something that nourishes you. (visit a gallery, gardening, read a book, go to a comedy show, etc.)

Compliment yourself. Tell yourself things like...I love my freckles, I have amazing eyes, I made myself a delicious dinner today, I'm a fabulous mum/dad.

Headphones in. Spend some time listening to songs that make you happy. Create a happy playlist, plug those headphones in and enjoy your evening.

Light it up. Scented candles to relax your mood whilst praying, meditating or bathing can help create a calm atmosphere.

Ask for help. your doctor, your parents, your manager or a friend. Let people know you need some help. This is super important!

Stay positive x

If you haven't guessed from the title of the post I recently turned 22.
YAS hunty. Ya girl is feeling twenty two *flicks hair*
Ok.. So.. umm, My birthday was actually a month ago but this post still counts. (still accepting gifts btw)
I loved my outfits and had to share them with y'all! Above are 2/4 of my birthday outfits.

I always aim to wear bright colours for my birthday (it's also become a tradition to wear a co-ord and/or wide leg pants), its not even to stand out, its just my melanin pops severely against all those colours likkeee *sips cocktail*. The duck egg blue was something new. Out of all the pale/pastel colours in the world i hadn't tried blue but it looks amazziing in different textures.

What to do if you're uninspired

So the story kinda goes like this ...

You have a dream.
On the way to achieving that goal the 'dominoes' you carefully placed start wobbling. Every time you adjust a few, another shakes. Then JUST when you thought you had everything in check, they all go crashing down.
defeated.

Now you're exhausted, bored of everything and most importantly uninspired.
You're at a point where you feel so drained.
You see everyone doing things with their life but you struggle to take the steps to pursue anything for yourself.

Here are some ways to snap out of your lack of inspiration

Accept

First step to moving on, is accepting what has happened. Believe me its easier said than done! However YOU are in control. Do not allow loss, pain or negativity to carry on in your life.
Write a list
Buy a cute notepad and write down the things you want to do, start or even finish. make this notepad become your love pad. scribble your ideas and aspirations in it and begin to set goals.

Create a mood board
A mood board is an arrangement of images, materials and text. You should include things you are passionate about, things you would like to try and where you see your self in the future. You can create them online or make one at home, just remember to mount it somewhere visible. This is a great way to keep you motivated on a daily basis.
Try something new
Get on wowcher and pick an activity you'd never think of trying and do it. Join your local gym, go speed dating or even start a business venture.

Connect with people
Put yourself in a position to meet new people. Ask a stranger how their day was, go to networking events etc. Find and follow organisations you are interested in on social media, you seeing them post may encourage you to get the ball rolling.

Get creative

Do something that requires you to stop thinking and start doing. This could be re decorating, writing or painting.
Let God
Most importantly when experiencing all of these negative feelings, seek God.
Pray when you feel hurt, confused and lost. Keep him in the center of everything whether its your job/career or marriage. Do not let your feelings rob you of praising God when things arent going well
Don't limit yourself
You can only grow if you're willing to feel uncomfortable.
Aim high, do not plan on achieving the 'easiest' goals. Set out to achieve the biggest dream you have. Challenges are inevitable and that's why perseverance is a major key. You need to understand that only you can create the change you want to feel or see. Know that you are capable of anything you put your mind to. It may not happen over night but if keep pushing that dream it will surely happen.

really hope this helps
